The first of its kind in the region, the IBV Supercar Club launched Saturday in Dubai after years of operational success in South Africa.
Where individual car clubs tend to target merely aficionados of the one brand, in a break from this tradition, IBV Supercar Club aims to bring together all types of supercars and their owners.
“We are very excited to be launching the IBV Supercar Club in Dubai. It is our vision to bring world class supercar experiences and events to Dubai’s Supercar elite and Saturday’s inaugural parade is to be the first of many such events in the city,” says IBV Supercar Club founder and President Ashok Sewnarain.
In addition to hosting regular supercar runs across the region, IBV Supercar Club Dubai will also host a number of high-end events annually – from exclusive red carpet movie premieres, to glamorous gala dinners, where the IBV Supercar Club members can network with other elite supercar owners.
With the club officially launching last Saturday, extensive plans are well under way for future events and charity projects, the IBV Supercar Club is poised to make a substantial impact on Dubai’s luxury automotive scene. “This cosmopolitan city which glitters in gold and luxury already have a thriving passion for exotic automobiles,” with Sewnarain adding, “We aim to bring together luxury car enthusiasts and offer an unrivalled, curated community – expect fast cars, high life events and more.”
With the plethora of supercars in the United Arab Emirates, it’s no surprise to see one, two or several parked in the valet of a hotel or in the basement parking of your residential tower. However, rarely will you see a fleet of over 30 like-minded supercar owners in convoy, cruising the lanes of Sheikh Zayed Road – all driving towards the Dubai launch of one of the world’s largest, international supercar clubs.
Etiquette Arabia was invited to this amazing launch and took part in the parade driving a convertible Audi R8.
We would like to thank IBV Supercar Club along with Fox&Hound PR for this amazing opportunity.
